Dr. Mary J. Lang, RN, Ph.D., ABPN, BCBA-D is the Founder and CEO of Beacon Day School for Children with Autism and Related Disabilities (a non-public school), and the Founder and Executive Director of Beacon Life Project (a 501c3 non-profit organization supporting lifelong needs of individuals with Autism). Dr. Lang graduated from the University of Southern California with her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. As a diplomat of the American Board of Neuropsychology, Dr. Lang has been a practicing licensed psychologist in the field of neuropsychology since 1991. Dr. Lang is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level. She was appointed Full Professor at Azusa Pacific University in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology. She presently serves as adjunct faculty at both Azusa Pacific University and Argosy University.
Dr. Lang is an active member of numerous national associations, which include the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the International Neuropsychological Society. She has conducted extensive research including "Parental Attitudes Toward Sexuality and Adolescents with ASD." Dr. Lang has lectured widely on Autism and has served on multiple boards and committees such as the Interagency Autism Committee of Orange County. She has also presented at AutismOne, Autism Society, and Autism Conference of America and at IMFAR on “Sexual Behavior in Adolescents and Young Adults with Autism.”
